Gold September 2023

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month - our annual opportunity to create awareness of the impact of cancer in so many children and their families around the world.

With the development of economy and medical conditions in some areas survival rates of children with cancer keep on rising. However, this improvement is lagging in some less-developed countries. During September we also seek to highlight these inequities in the access to care and treatment.

For this campaign we use the gold colour to honour children with cancer courageous struggle against the disease. Participating in this campaign is expressing solidarity, standing up and speaking out for and with children/adolescents with cancer, childhood cancer survivors and their families.

Objectives:

• Create and promote awareness of childhood cancer and the global inequities in access to treatment.

• Promote golden colour/ribbon as childhood cancer symbol.

• Engage current community.

There are many ways that you can get involved throughout September to show your commitment with our cause and to  inspire hope among children and adolescents with cancer and their families:
